Mitrabahtera Segara Sejati (MBSS) is a leading publicly-listed company in Indonesia which provides transportation for the mining and natural resources industry, handling transportation and transshipment of bulk materials using barging and floating cranes.

The company was founded in 1994 and was successfully listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange in 2011. In the same year, MBSS became a member of the Indika Energy Group. The China Navigation Company Pte Ltd acquired 25.7%  of MBSS in April 2015.

MBSS has a fleet of 85 tugs, 70 barges and 6 floating cranes. The barges in use range in size from 250 feet to 365 feet. The entire MBSS barge fleet fulfills Indonesian Classification Bureau requirements, and also meets the requirements of IACS societies.

MBSS has offices in Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, Palembamg, Samarinda, Satui and Kendari to support the operations of its assets and customers. MBSS provides direct barging services for the transportation of bulk mining materials from loading port to unloading port, and also from loading port to anchorage point within Indonesia.
